James,
So they may say. They build to order from components that have been sitting on their shelves for weeks if they can't sell you the already built one on the shelf. Give us a configuration and price to compare to what DELL is offering online right now. Until you do that I don't believe them (comp usa).

James,
Comp USA offers both IBM, and CPQ PII333 systems for 2399.95, monitor extra.

Dell offers a similar system for 2587 with a 17 inch monitor. Where else can you buy a Sony 17" monitor for $187. Order without the monitor and the price is $2173. Looks like DELL is about 10% less.

One other difference,
Comp USA warranty = 1 yr, 90 days on site
DELL= 3 yr, 1 yr on site

Which one are you going to buy? Classic NO BRAINER !!!!!

The crow is waiting, nice and warm.

James, you're not exactly correct either. CompUSA has adopted "a" build to order model, not DELL's model. You cannot even begin to compare CompUSA's model to DELL in terms of efficiency.

'My Mother-in-law' is also a Build-to-Order specialist !!!! <gg>

James:

Everybody and his mother-in-law is into 'Build to Order' these days but what is that go to do with anything???? Yeah,I know it is the end for DELL,right?? It takes more than aping DELL to succeed in this business is all I am going to say. Don't ask me the specifics,I let you figure it out yourself as you seem to be well qualified to do that with all them degrees you got going for ya.

It is your move Fink.<gg>
