Everyday after the close of market I go to cbs.marketwatch.com and check for the news that come out after the close. And everyday it is the same story, companies keep reporting/pre-warning short fall in their earnings with uncertainty for the future (due to Asia or Y2k or ...). And yet their stock prices do not seem to be effected much (if any at all), and in fact they go higher! It is as if the worse the news the higher the prices go!

So I for one do not know what to make of this. Stock prices still do represent valuations based on revenue and earnings growth (both in the short and long term), dont they?! Is this market purely driven by the money flow? If so I may as well take some cash and go to Vegas! Anyway, I am truly baffled ! Am I missing something here?
