Francis,

Thanks. I'll check them out. I've been using Schwab 500 for active traders and their commissions are outrageous. Plus you can't really trade Canadians (except the few with U.S. market makers) without going through Schwab Global. Example: bought 40,000 shares of CFB (Clifton Mining) at U.S. $0.55 a few months ago and the commission for a "discounted" block trade was almost U.S. $700.00. But the execution was good... filled in two 20,000 share blocks in less than 30 minutes. Considering that I was 98% of the volume that day, I'd say their trading desk is good. Somewhere there has to be a happy medium <G>. Somewhere there has to be a U.S. broker dealing in Canadians that can execute trades fast with good fills at a reasonable cost. With the big commissions, I've turned into a long-term position "trader" because with a position of say 50,000 shares of a U.S. $.20 stock, if it goes to $.30 that's a 50% gain, but the commissions take it back. I take the risk... the brokerage takes the money!! Maybe if some brokerage in the U.S. (or at least a brokerage anywhere that accepts U.S. citizens' accounts) sees the business they're losing (and the Canadian exchanges see the business they're losing) one of them will come up with reasonable commissions with good executions so non-Canadians can actively trade.

Thanks for your input.

Best always,

Marty
