Re MSFT.. It makes sense, the more I think about it, that they will split the company into two or more businesses. Its been bothering me why they reported early that things were going well. They did it to build momentum into a positive announcement. A. Gates will own in both or all.. no loss only gains. B. It resolves government's issues of monopoly BEFORE its an order C. It resolves the issue of browser, they can sell both sys and soft D. It allows the company to branch into new activities, TV delivery E. Distributes and makes better use of cash hoard F. Benefits investors who will receive share distribution Jim Cordes

Lisa, Just took a look at the BANK index and it was down almost down 10 points now, and 17 points off today's highs. I guess the big jump in interest rates got their attention, well at least for today - the way this market is going. Seeya

Lisa: off topic-- haven't been around all day-- a few difficulties, not nearly as serious as OWO has, tho. The shootings in Jonesborough, Ark, have caused some disruption in my daily routine, what with having both daughters teachers, and Marilyn in administration and then both our grandkids about the age of those kids up there....... My family has no relatives in Jonesborough, but have friends in the area.
