Hey, just heard the news and though it was worth a trip back to the IOM thread. Trufflete, are you still around? I see Rocky is still here. What do you know, maybe now we'll get someone who is capable of managing a corporate image? What do you all think?

>>Mr.CEO, Could you explain something to me, if removable storage devices are not selling as quickly as was predicted to mom and pop then why is Sony, Castlerock, Oram etc. going into the business?<<

To grab a piece of the pie. It doesn't matter if it is a consumer dollar, or a professional one--it's all still green. People who bought Zip a couple of years ago are probably looking for a better, faster, cheaper way to do things. There are already several solutions which are better, faster, and cheaper than what Iomega has to offer. And there is plenty more competition to come to market very soon. This is an important reason for anyone invested long-term in IOM to maybe re-think their investment strategy.

Thank you. But I think I can feel the rug being pulled out from under me as we speak. I think their strategy is to cough up any warm body for the upcoming turkey shoot (Shareholder's meeting). Should be a bloodbath.
