Looked like a 1,000,000 share bid at 7 toward the close Linda: as someone who has traded the market for over twenty years, I can tell you that those so-called bids are not real bids at all. They are placed there by the market maker in order to establish a floor on the stock price. The proof of the pudding is that no one was buying one million shares at 7 this morning or even below 7. As you learn more about trading you will learn to ignore the bid ask size. It means very little.
