Broadcom Corp. Enters European Digital Cable-TV and Broadcast

Munich, Germany -- September 30, 1996 -- Broadcom Corp., a leading supplier of silicon solutions for the broadband digital transmission market, today made a major commitment to the European market with the announcement of DVB/DAVIC compliant chips for cable modems, cable-TV set-top boxes, and satellite integrated receiver devices (IRDs).
