Intel IS NO LONGER THE ONLY COMPUTER OUT IN THE MARKET!

Exactly! That's the point that INTC is on the verge of freefall to low 20s.

Not only they are no more the only player, Intel could not improve their processor core for better system performance to keep up with the competition. As the result, Intel had to claim the manufacturing refinements (to raise the clock speeds) as their technology achievements and assigned the R&D of their next processor, the so-called Merced, to HP.

The coming AMD K6+3D with 3 levels of cache and the Cyrix 128-bit MXi would make anyone paying good money for Intel processors look like idiots.
