With all due respect to you (and I do mean this), may I ask exactly what is it that you are smoking?

Would be more than happy to fax the article to you. Don't have a link to the actual article itself although I think it was posted last Friday or so.

Honestly though, don't waste valuable minutes contemplating the merger of CPQ and INTC. It ainta gunna hoppen.

In my dreams of dreams it would and nothing would be sweeter but until they change the anti-trust laws there is no way it would make it past the Feds. Talk about landing a blow against your competition. Hey, Dell could always buy AMD.....or vice versa.

The future, on the long side of CPQ, IMO, comes down to two factors. 1) Globalization 2) Service Role.

The purchase of DEC, though killing us short term, will add a backend revenue stream that, other than IBM, is unrivaled. Give this merger time....it WILL pay off.

As Dvorak, I used to follow him. But his "BS & Black Smoke" style turned me off long ago.

Luck to ya.

Jeff.
