HI Henry!

Tell me what should keep this baby at this level except a wave of news. Look at the Leptin deal...the little fire burned quickly and was then lacking fuel and the downdrift that the stock was in just resumed. Probably some pros sold into that rally. Technically the stock looks weak to me. The expected pop after an FDA approval might not even get us back to the old resistance level of 17. What else is there to come to support a rally in the next weeks? REAL earnings are only coming later so it's the news that propels this baby and that fuel burns really fast. The only thing that i find positive is that the pullback is on low volume which makes me feel bullish for the longer term. Short term i don't see enough buyers coming in to support the price...that's all.

Stefan

>Looks like MMs want to get some TAs to bail

Nothing much has changed from my previous analysis; it would take 13.5 to pull the rug out from the bullish Point & Figure pattern. My Elliott chart shows three impulsive waves up from 11 to 16.5 and indicating that LGND is in a Wave 4 correction with the low 20's due when Wave 5 UP takes hold. A break below 14 would imply something else is going on.

Re: TA Agonisties

Looks like MMs want to get some TAs to bail. Still ready for ignition.

This "TA" studiously avoided ratcheting his stop up to 15 1/4, because of the anemic action at 16 and above (if that sounds wrong, please review the difference between day, short-term, and medium-term trading). Could it be this has nothing to do with the M&M's at all?

BTW, what happened to the pre-opening rocket launch? I cannot take pre-opening bid/ask seriously. It's the only time when the "MM manipulation" thesis consistently holds. Pre-opening, these guys are electronically jockeying for position and looking for the, er, excessively enthusiastic.

Anyone who bought at the open today is down over 3%. :-O
