ACTRADE SLAM DUNKS AHG, MR. PINK GUILTY OF POINTS SHAVING After a review of the daily postings, it seems as though the daily banter has calmed a bit. The long position is still leaderless. Important information concerning the customer base of Actrade is still not forthcoming, although admissions of the need for such information has been bleeding through these posts. The real competition was the post of the day. It was a photo finish between NotNeiderhoffer's #4398 and Joe Hoek's #4407. Both were relevant posts and well composed. Unfortunately for Mr. NN, there can only be one post of the day and I gave the nod to Joe. He so eloquently pointed out that the professional financial moguls who camp out here as much as, but not more than 24 hours a day have not provided much meat here for the small investor, which I so humbly represent, that their lives have a definite void. Meanwhile, the working man has little room to hang his hat and little time to invest in such trite BS. Therefore, Joe and I will be walking the same path, hand in hand, following more practical endeavors. Congratulations Joe for your post and for your insight that is a beacon of light for all to follow. I am not suggesting that Joe and I are of like minds concerning Actrade, we just agree on the value of pursuing other things as opposed to living on this thread as the pros are able to do. I will still check in from time to time and adjudicate this thread on behalf of the "little guy". Now for the specifics of the stock picking contest. Mr. Pink confessed to a points shaving scam on AHG. He performed what he described as a "Bear Raid Implosion" on his own holdings in order to secure sure gains tomorrow as a result of the dead cat bounce that will surely result from today's stock collapse. Mr. Pink does not give a hoot what stock he destroys. One observer noted that He said, "I was pissed at the suggestion by Stan that the stocks would cross just below $11. I see the lines crossing near $7, the true valuation of Actrade. Meanwhile davef's stock rallied big time, a tad short of recovering the losses from yesterday. The winner for day 7 is davef: 3/25/98 AHG 8 7/8 -2 5/16 down 20.67% 3/24/98 AHG 11 3/16 -3/16 down 1.65% 3/23/98 AHG 11 3/8 -1/16 down 0.55% 3/20/98 AHG 11 7/16 -3/16 down 1.61% 3/19/98 AHG 11 5/8 -1/8 down 1.06% 3/18/98 AHG 11 11/16 + 1/8 up 1.08% 3/17/98 AHG 11 9/16 unchanged 3/25/98 ACRT 12 15/16 +3/8 up 2.99% 3/24/98 ACRT 12 9/16 -7/16 down 3.37% 3/23/98 ACRT 13 +3/8 up 2.97% 3/20/98 ACRT 12 5/8 -3/8 down 2.88% 3/19/98 ACRT 13 -3/8 down 2.80% 3/18/98 ACRT 13 3/8 + 1/16 up 0.47% 3/17/98 ACRT 13 5/16 -3/8 down 2.74% Cumulative results: Mr. Pink 5 davef 2 Today's turn of events has davef dancing in the streets and his elation is well deserved. This duel between two financial moguls has entered a new chapter titled, "The Bouncing Dead Cats" More tomorrow as the results will be posted here after the close. Yours in public service, Don.
