I checked this information out at the CompUSA website. Your friends at CompUSA are wrong! The CPQ presario PII @333MHZ is 2399.95. This is without the monitor. You need to check your sources of information- especially, if you are investing based on the information. Unnamed sources are always suspect.

Which prices are your sources saying are fabricated? Below is direct from CompUSAs website. If they are fabricated, then CompUSA is doing it! If I'm not mistaken, this Compaq has no speakers, no monitor, and only a 1 year warranty with 1st 90 days on-site. I configured something similar on Dell's site and came up with a price of $2,282. Dell has 3 year warranty with 1st year on-site. So save $100+ and get a better computer and better warranty.
