Mohan,

We all studied the same indian history books and remember main points of it. Personally I am not sure of the Aryan Invasion theory. However I have not seen any thing else which refutes it.

On Indian budget, thanks for the link. My main concern with India right now is with a strong stable govt. No major reforms or policy changes are likely with the current regime. If past is any guide this govt will be gone in less than 12 months and we may have another round of elections leading to a stronger govt. India needs a strong hand at the center to push thru economic reforms and social policy changes.

Thanks again for starting this thread.

Jyoti

Hello Mohan:
This is with reference to your "Listen, have you any thoughts on the Aryan Invasion theory, I have a hard time swallowing it."
I remember reading somewhere that if someone proved that..
1, God exists, the Darwinian Evolution Theories will fall apart,
2, The velocity of light can be exceeded by something, all the modern theories of Physics will fall apart.
Now, I want to add to these ifs that if someone can prove that famous SARASWATI existed outside the confines of modern day India/Pakistan, the indigenous Aryan (Aryan Invasion Myth) theory will fall apart.
Well, the following URL tries to do just that.
picatype.com
Have fun.

Satish
