What is the weekly percent gain possible?

I started with $5K in August and have grown it to $35K by doing about 3 trades/week .... I'm gaining confidence in smart daytrading and feel with enough cash in play I can match my weekly salary and then can consider quiting the day job.

I think a 3%/week gain can be relatively easily achieved. Sure beats the 1%/month mutual fund performance ...

And besides ....this is FUN!

Mike,
I've all along viewed this as a challenge not to make $1000 a week on $5000, but to take $5000 and increase it to $57,000 in 52 weeks. That is a compounded growth of 5% per week - not at all easy to do. I've done only options, with predefined targets and have only made trades about once a week. Most of my options are for "large-cap techs". There was a period when I was running low (I'd written one set of options that had appreciated in value), however I've never risked more than $2500 at a time. If anyone is interested in my trades, let me know (I actually got in the contest mid-Jan).

- Brian.
