Mike, I usually go out 2 to 4 months on buys, and 6 to 9 months on option sales. But I like to have enough cash in my 10 pct. pile to make certain I can stay in all year.

GTW is a great put candidate here. MU is always a great put candidate, especially when it is selling for higher prices than it did in 1994, when it was making huge amounts of money. And it is now losing money hand over fist. But the trick is to pick some names you think have good downside potential and the 90/10 and thirds techniques allow you to stay in the game until you get that big move.

I would also diversify a bit out of technology. I think airlines, banks and brokers make good put candidates also. MB
