Mohan - Re: Katmai & 200 MHz Bus Speed.

The Chip Set known as Camino will be for Katmai and will have support for SDRAM (maybe SLDRAM as well) as well as RDRAM (Rambus). I can't comment on the system clock speed at this time - no direct knowledge of it's speed capability .

However, the CPU Design teams have requested that the chip set design teams provide 133 MHz chip sets for the Deschutes CPU - but up until a few months ago there was no commitment to deliver that for Deschutes (i.e., a 133 MHz 440 BX Chip Set).

As for Katmai, we will know very shortly how well that chip performs.
