Alex, Now that we have been straigtened out by purething and Marcos, I would like to add a few more observations: Chaucer sure as hell could have used a spellchecker. When he was poet to the King in 1360something, his only recompsense was all the wine he could drink..so maybe he DID have a spellchecker. Blank word goes further back...when Noah hit his thumb with a hammer.
