Yes, NT is part of the S&P 500. Another foreign company I know of is Royal Dutch Shell.

Hi Andrew,
As I do not know what the requirements are to be on the S&P500 I cannot say , however, I will check into it. Apparently as long as they can make money on NT it is good enough.
