CNET seems to agree with me. And for others here who have been questioning Iomega's product quality and customer support for some time.

Those who do not heed the warnings of others who have been right all along, and insist on squandering their hard-earned money invested in this rapidly declining company, should do well to take this word of advice:

IOM is now $7. It is headed lower. Much lower. Don't be wishing you could have sold in the $7's.

It's good to finally start seeing some of the details other than the public line from the press release, frothing bears, and frantic bulls.

Here are some of the excerpts that I think are especially revealing (and which confirm some of the suspicions that we've had):

Lab‚ said Edwards's resignation, which is effective immediately, has nothing to do with the company's first-quarter results. Rather, he said, there was disagreement between Edwards and the board of directors on corporate strategy.

...

The company is built on foundation that Kim set out for us, and we are taking a shift in the strategy," added Willow Baum, an Iomega spokeswoman. "We are going to be less concerned with becoming a $3 billion company, and [ more concerned] with becoming a $10 billion company. It is a shift in the mind-set."

...

Lab‚ said it is clear that the board would like greater quality control than it has seen up until now.

Suspicions Confirmed:

1) Disagreement between KE and board (good guess Ben!)
2) Growth issues (price cuts coming? change in ad focus?)
3) Quality issues
