You must admit if you were going to purchase a stock and went to the thread and everyone was ripping it, providing horror stories and unfavorable details you might have second thoughts even if an analyst or business section was recommending it.

As an example, in October of 1997 Wall Street Analysts and Business papers were singing the praises of OXHP (Oxford Health) while insiders were selling hundreds of thousands of shares of 144 stock. Then one day in October the stock dropped from $ 80 to $ 25. Conclusion, management misled the people. And investors, employees, analysts and business papers hadn't done their DD and got burnt. I try to analyze any and all information from any and all sources. There are many intelligent and well informed posters on these threads.
