Makes no sense to me either. But I read a few snippets this morning in various places and I thought I'd pass a few on.

The Morgan rumor came after the T-Bond was already headed down, and the catalyst for the T-Bond was evidently the extreme high in Existing Home Sales. Apparently, this causes confusion about poor economic results versus a strong economy. I'm not well-versed in this stuff, but it apparently can trigger a quick-flight to cash.

CNBC had planned and touted a 3 hour DJIA 9000 special. Who says the media is manipulative? Ron Insana vanished from the noon-hour show, which suggests he headed over to the floor to kick off the big event. (If it did break 9000, they should have allowed him to ring the bell).

Also, one wag pointed out that yesterday's fast reversal should be a reminder that selling power is capable of dwarfing buying power at this stage. It certainly does seem quite possible to me.

Another problem with next month is taxes, which reminds me that I have to get back to mine.
