Teddy, I saw a nice article in a European newspaper...pictures and all. Hell, it's just for fun.

UHCP beef-to-oil story was mentioned in a recent IBD. When I read it, I reacted like you -- sounds like a scam. I couldn't find it again, but I found another equally interesting story. Do you remember my urging all to write their Congressman to promote replenishment of the U.S. oil reserve by buying today's cheap oil and storing it in the reserve? Here's 3/24/98 IBD report on the same subject: "U.S. Oil Reserve Strategy is to Buy High and Sell Low After paying $27 a barrel or more for most of the oil in its emergency reserve, the government is about to sell millions of barrels for half that price. The government reserve, a system of caverns in Louisiana, contains 563 million barrels of oil, purchased over two decades in case of a sudden shortage. Oil has been sold in the last two years to pay for operating the reserve." Go figure! We're getting ALL the government we pay for. Tulvio
