jtechkid:

So whats your point?! What does your post regarding sucker rally have to do with AMAT?! Are you implying that AMAT's jump to the $35 range is simply a sucker dream of buying AMAT at a bargain price?! Well, if so, then I guess I am your biggest sucker and damn proud of it too!!

Regards,

Addi Jamshidi

Re:SUCKERS RALLY

What exactly are you talking about here? Even with the recent down revision in eps, AMAT is currently at about 23X FY98 earnings, the S&P AVERAGE!!!!(Using FY98 eps of $1.55). MSFT is at about 55X FY98 earnings. In addition, MSFT may be a beneficiary of the 300mm upgrade, but not even close to AMAT. What exactly is your advice?? Wait until AMAT breaks through the resistance and buy on the way up in the 40's? Or maybe we should all wait till it sets new highs, thereby confirming the up-cycle has begun. That is the kind of advice I would expect from an analyst. What exactly do you do for a living?<GGG>
