Think about it before you post....you depend upon the generousity of the people on this thread too much. Fact: it is known that MINE needs operating capital, and maybe an alliance with one of the big boys.
Do you really think management who has spent a lot of time and money building up to assay releases, to suddenly say "oh, Im sorry - I meant assay results from TWO ******* HOLES? It might be kind of hard to get a thousand assays from two holes totaling only 400 feet (example only).

If the results are from holes - don't you think it would make sense to report from known high grade areas. In that case I would'nt mind hearing assays of ten foot intervals. In that case to prove up you would have to drill step outs.

You have to know that it will be a mix of sampling, and will probably outline several new areas to be developed in near future with new money.....the company will need to concentrate on high grade areas to bring in the bucks. I would be interested in hearing a foot by foot account of tailing dumps considering the past recovery methods though - especially the last couple of feet. I think MDIN has an example of tailings core assays (not sure).

Give GE management a little more credit please, and do your own d&d. That way you will sleep a whole lot better. If you want to learn more about drilling go to Conquistador thread and ask a few questions there. Also try old goldtex thread for various sampling techniques and assay results. Knowledge doesn't come cheap and requires work.

WW.

<< Claude, you told me that 1000 samples could occur on just a hole or two. The question I now have for you is if it makes sense for a company to over-manage one or two holes (1000 samples), or take an initial large area survey? >>

If I remember well, I said that one 100m hole would be at least 100 samples. So on that basis 1000 samples could be 10 drill holes. Still, 10 holes initial program could make sense depending on where they are located. But keep in mind that one never starts drilling first.

Richard, very little exploration info has been published so far...that is the only reason why I say that talks of millions ounces of gold are premature.
