I don't think this product is intended for use outside of a life threatening emergency(ie:patient is so deep in shock that veins have recessed making insertion of normal I.V. impossible, this may also be a problem if the patient is particularly obese incidentally) so risk of infection would be of minimal concern in that context. The device is not intended to, nor will it, replace I.V.'s. I'm not sure if you are talking about infection from the actual use of the device, or post use infection. I'm certain the FAST1 needle will be sterile so risk of infection through use would be minimal if not non-existent(someone please correct me if I am wrong here). I also will be attending the conference(maybe tomorrow, Friday or Saturday for sure) so I'll be sure to bring your question up at the booth. I hope to meet Mr.Jacobs and maybe the new production manager. I will report back on the general buzz and try to get some of our questions answered. George, maybe I'll see you there. Justin Curran.

Mark, I think the best person to ask about the possibilies of bone infection would be Dr. Stairs. Since he had the proceedure performed on himself, lets find out if he is bothered by a bone infection. Cheers,
