Mark, Yes this is good- most industry prognosticators see flip chip usages primarily on high lead count devices. This article suggests that consumer demand for smaller lighter cell phones, pagers, etc. will drive demand into low lead count devices too.....

Now realistically INVX is probably not currently set up to do low lead count flip chip assembly (of these packages) , but they either can adjust, or alternatively they will indirectly benefit from the increase demand for high lead count components which will go into these same cell phones and pager devices....

Sincerely,

Doug F.

Mark,

RE: >>April 1, 1998 (KUALA LUMPUR) -- Seagate Technology is rehiring former employees on a temporary basis after laying off more than 2,000 people in its Malaysia plants in February. The move is to meet last-minute product orders to be shipped by June from its Prai assembly plant, said Penang Seagate Industries (M) Sdn., Bhd. managing director Timothy Harris.>>

Does SEG make their Cheetah drives at the Prai assemble plant? If so, then INVX will do well with sales of their HIF.

Kurt

PS Stich would probably know the answer. Welcome back from the land down under.
