If you use an on-line broker, you can do a couple things: pull up
a full real-time quote on the option contract. Some of them list a
"split factor," which is usually "1." If you don't see a split factor,
try the other approach: prepare an order to buy or sell 1 contract.
The two on-line brokerages I've used both present a "review" screen,
and you have to click a "submit" or similar button to actually execute
the trade. You can easily tell from the "total for this trade" on the
review screen whether the contract is for 100 shares or a greater
number. Then click the "cancel" button if you don't actually want to
place a trade.

Hope this helps.
