Jeff, excellent assessment on products and long term potential for msft. I'm adding on dips and dormant times and in it for the long term, looking for value to multiply fivefold to twelvefold over the next 10 years. The big surprise over the next decade will be continued low inflation which will reward consistent good growers such as msft. The key to this long term is continued earnings growth as opposed to cycles associated with hardware suppliers and their competitive environment.

Re. comments about Asia. Asia is slowing - tremendous slowdown in infrastructure projects, less so in productivity enhancements such as information technology.

Re. valuations/trading/options etc. - all a lot of "chat". I've seen too much of this. My own experience tells me I'm too stupid to trade in and out of good companies compared to buy, add on dips and hold. I'd like those who think contrary to post their track records.
