WinCHip C6 prices:

These were obtained from a Parts/Price search feature on the electronic distributor Hamilton-Halmark's web page. Interesting that the 225Mhz part is available, although the price indicates that they are in limited supply. I hope the format doesn't get too bad as I just cut&pasted the info, then edited the data..

Good url, Walter, thanks. It looks like IDTI is further ahead with C6 than we thought.

The market sure is frothy these days, especially where IDTI is concerned. In general there is a real swing between high and low feelings about IDTI. Like many here, I've bought and held for a long time and it is a lot easier to sleep with this stock now than it was at any time since I bought. Some people have said CL is only going to contribute $20MM in revenues this year, that Centaur will only sell 2 million processors this year, that the company only owns 36% of QED...

OK: $20MM is more than $0 and next year if the company sells $100MM then $50MM goes right to the bottom line. Centaur cost $10MM to start up. That's pretty good. So what if they only sell $150MM in WinChips this year - they will be higher margin than standard logic and memory components and will add significantly to the bottom line. If IDTI loses some bids to QED that is better than losing them to someone else with no relationship to IDTI.

We can't expect a home run immediately and shouldn't expect IDTI to be as big as Intel. It doesn't have to be a $150B company to bring value to shareholders. If it is a $15B company that would be a huge return for the owners.

I was pretty skeptical of the company from time to time - especially during some of those 10 g nosedives. But, the company has pretty much followed through on what they said they would do. If anyone wants to see the benefit, look at CY or ALSC for proof that IDTI's diversification strategy has made a big difference.

Does anyone know when Ipsilon's sale to Nokia will show up on IDTI's balance sheet?
