Nightfall or By MoonlightThe Glade was clear by the light of the moon. What purpose yonder monster. Did it seek ultimately to poison or to undermine. It was clearly a careful construction. Each part placed just so, almost impossible to hit and even harder to destroy. The man in gray had only a mace, sword and dagger. No pistol, no jackboots, no magics or poisons such as these possessed. He had no brown uniform such as the one the blackguard wore, no great barbie doll tears, no "Oh we were persecuted stories" which dredged up sympathy. What credence does this Janus dear heart Alan/Nancy deserve. They actively support the foul blackguard and the Old Crone. They complain of persecution. Tis odd. They whine about the poisons the Crone and Blackguard use and believe in, are they blind. Tis odd. They pour out the water of sympathy and clasp the darkness to their bosom. Tis odd. Think man, think. Do any hate dear Nancy/Alan, none, can any see through the reasoned discourse while the other sneaks up behind looking for a chink of bigotry or belief through which to throw the killing blow. The only agenda this construct has is sympathy. If that is so then what purpose the heresy, all's that it does is attract good Christians who are slain by the Old Crone and the Blackguard. Do all dine ? Tis a most foul thing indeed if so. The Old Crone and Blackguard in their roles poison and weaken the community so they become easier prey to the Alan/Nancy or Nancy/Alan attack which in turn undermines the community so they become more susceptible to the poisons the Crone and Blackguard wish to spread. The man in the gray got out his mace and shifted the weapon as if readying to strike....
