Mark, Update from commodity news on silver

Silver also finished higher on the day. In the physical market,
silver's forward price curve remained in backwardation though one
month lease rates edged down to around 9.00 pct.

"We think silver is probably locked into a trading range of $6.50
to $5.80 basis spot London for some months to come," said Arnold.

Just finished reading Kaplan (sp) he uses comitment of traders and is very bearish on silver short term, read your post on another thread about the silver Millennium coin, it is a wish that every Yuppie and Yuppie wanta be buys them with both hands. IMO as long as we keep getting bearish news on silver it should be able to climb the wall of worry,

As of yesterday there were only 135 open contracts for March 675,000 ounces, delivery is Friday 27 March.

Mark thanks for your help and research, I agree with your post above perhaps there is not as much silver around as some would have us believe, Paul Sarnoff maintains that the CPM study counts silver twice, but does NOT support this with any facts! Therefore treat it as hot air, but when the masses are lining up to buy silver at $8-10 the rush will have begun, were you around the silver market in 1979-80 Mark?
