Shorts et al:

Like most of you I keep waiting for the inevitable pullback...it may not happen today however as TAVA could ride the early bandwagon bump by the market's reaction to the Nikkei's 322.28 pop.

Re: A recent post seeking other potential investments. There's a turnaround candidate out there called SystemSoft (SYSF). They develop trouble shooting software for personal, desktop and mobile computers. They're currently part of a class action investor lawsuit (along with a half-dozen others), their fundamentals are horrific and their stock price has collapsed in the last year. Sounds like my kind of stock.

However...They have a new CEO, a very aggressive and very sharp no nonsense female who is making all the right moves. She recently paid down a bunch of debt. The one fundamental that is on the plus side is revenues which have grown by 65, 62 and 61% in the last three years and are on track again this year.

No agenda here, I'm not even in it as yet, but I'm keeping a close eye on it. Last quote 3 3/16.

Jack, thanks for the response.

You can be sure I won't resort to the dumb short posts you see on other threads. I have an opinion contrary to most on this thread and discussions work well two ways. It is always useful to have new information or an unconsidered opinion - that is the point of these boards. I hope it works both ways. I would not risk money short if I did not believe in my view of things and the same goes for those who are long. A recipe for argument, but civilised argument I hope. When I am long a stock, the least useful posts to me are people who agree with my view as that could subconsciously make me 'too comfortable'.

I would disagree about the difference in shorting. I will cover at a loss if I am wrong, no problem with that. Despite the over used and little understood short squeeze argument there is not much difference between how fast a stock jumps on the upside and downside. Certainly no more risk than bad news causing a stock to open say, 30% down.

Regarding DD and monitoring, you should do as much short as long. Again I don't see much difference.

TAVA may well play out as people here hope. But right now it is ahead of itself and a huge expectation is built in.
The long term (since July!!) holders have done really well - better than anyone really expected. The stock trades at 1000% of its recent valuation and has yet to deliver significant Y2K revenue. An independent observer would have to conclude that risks and downside are higher now. I think the numbers will tell the story - I guess we have to wait.
