A first look at Casio's Cassiopeia E-10 PalmPC - MSNBC

March 25 - Life is funny sometimes. Someone from MSNBC's cable
promotions department called to ask what I knew about a PalmPC they
had on their desk. I think I set a new land-speed record getting
upstairs to hold it in my hands. It turns out they had one of the
first production models in the country. They were photographing it to
use in a future cable giveaway promotion. A phone call to Casio
headquarters got me permission to take it home for the weekend.

David - Thanks for your response. Re: <<they'll be used by the masses for years to come (an eternity in the tech age), since it will take years for xDSL to deploy.>>

The masses would go for cable modems. Problem there is the regulators are unwilling to let go their strangle hold on that industry.
