Re>>>I hope this answered your question. Let me know if I can explain better<<< I noticed that when you explain with the chart, it's easier for me to understand. I don't know if that's feasible or not.

This thread is one of the best!

I may not post a lot, but I am reading every message!

P&F Madness, >Hi Paul,The Semi sector remember, is still coming down from the 60% level it was at before. It is still moving down. You need to watch your positions considering the sector could still move down if there is an overall market correction. If the sector reverses up under the 40% level, the field position is good. We would like to see the reversal up. An example of this is last October. Actually, September when the Semi's were the first sector to peal off before the correction. They were down I think 20% from above the 70% level when the correction occurred. Eventually the semi's reversed up but it wasn't until the reached 16% that they reversed up. AMAT did hold support and has reversed up from there. Your stop is 31 which breaks a double bottom and the bullish support line.

I hope this answered your question. Let me know if I can explain better.<

My broker showed me on page 14, "Dorsey, Wright & Associates, Inc., Technical Research Reference Manual, The Shakeout formation. In comparing the Online chart with the diagram and in the DW Portfolio site of AMAT it appears that AMAT is in the Shakeout Formation. Quote, "The Shakeout Formation has been one of the best buy signals over the last few years. . ."

Therefore, it appears that AMAT with its recent reversal up according to the Shakeout Formation is at a good buy position especially since the sector is at 41+ percentile.

What is your interpretation to the above section of DW sited?

Thanks,

Paul V.
