I don't have any new direct knowledge on sales, but from recent educational pricelist changes this week, it seems that the channels are fairly clear of older machines and ready for intro of new. Example, G3 Powerbook is dropped, and only 1400's remain, suggesting Wallstreet intro ready and G3 channel emptying. Similarly, only non-G3 desktops left on the list are 5500 and 6500 in 250MHz configuration. I don't know if this is true across all educational lists, or is specific to U. of Chicago--any other similar feedback? It seems clear that product line will be all G3 very soon. Curious about how many 5500 are in the channel, since word has been that they must clear before Artemis release, and that otherwise it is ready too.
