Mark, I too agree that without love we are but "clanging cymbals". that love is not limited to an affectionate type of love, it also recognizes responsibility, and sacrifice among other things. But I must understand something. If I love Jesus as my Lord and Savior, then I MUST not only accept for my life instructions provided by HIM; but also I am taught to SHOW these to others. NOT because I am a good teacher(because there is only one who is good)but because HE first loved me. And that love of Jesus says(John 14:6)<< that HE is the WAY......and the TRUTH......and the LIFE...... and that no one comes to the FATHER ..except through HIM......>> Now , Mark as a Christian, would I do you or CHRIST a disservice if I ignored this statement of CHRIST and decided not to tell you this??? Would I indeed "love you" if I decided on my own to not tell you this?? God does love you and I appreciate you letting me talk to you.Do you care to hear more of this CHRIST of pure LOVE? dcf
