Re: 2.75M new shares

Mohan,

naively one would expect the stock price to decrease
by approx 8.5% on this news. However, the min-chart shows
that the price did exactly the opposite and went UP when the
news was released ...
How can one understand it ?

1) The press release contains this statement
"expansion in the company's space and ground infrastructure
systems sector as a result of higher than expected new orders for 1997 and 1998 for satellites and launch vehicles",
which indicates that the estimated growth of the company is
real.

2) The underwriters will certainly not downgrade ORBI ...

Thus based on the technical analysis of the min-chart (but I am not
an expert in this field) I would think, that the latest news will not
hurt ORBI's price ...
And by the way, I would NOT sell if the price goes down to $42 ...

Best regards,
Wolfgang

Mohan,
I understand that a secondary offering is beneficial for the growth of ORBI. But why not just split the stock shares? Hopefully this is a valid question........ I'm not sure how many shares remain outstanding to date.

Randomm

Mohan, I agree, this is good news. I don't think this will have much of a dilutive effect on the stock price. It's good that they're expanding their facilities because of their higher than expected new orders. I was a little concerned about this, not being able to take on more. However, this company is set for Long-term, high growth and I love it. Good luck to us and Orbi.
