A fire-brand critic & Tandoor aficionado.<gg> Worswick: Thanks for letting us know about the portable Tandoor, actually I have seen it advertised in a news paper called India Abroad, don't know whether it is from the same folks though. Can't say I am a big 'tandoor' fan, I like my food in a banana leaf please, besides being tasty it is 'green' and disposable.<gg>In my view the unreal opinion of "strong hands at the center" is an idea that has gotten India.... where it is today. Hence the battle cry for more autonomy for the states and the resurgence of regional parties. I guess finally the 'centre' has gotten the drift.No. India is not the US. No. Kashmir is not Virginia. No. Correct me if I'm wrong... there has been no civil war in India as yet. Well, mini 'civil wars' are being fought all over, mostly verbal & intellectual but occasionally physical as well.Everyone who has wanted to drop out of the Indian Union has done so already buy buying his way out through a disasterously corrupt political process... where merit is given the go by to the rupee. Agreed on the 'corruption' bit but what do you mean by 'Everyone who has wanted to drop out of the Indian Union....etc',I don't get it.Why else are all you former Indian's now Americans? It isn't because you came here because you loved America. You loved the idea of being individuals, with ideas and a future. Right? Hummm interesting question and answer as well.I can't speak for Jyoti or anyone else but I think I came because I loved American cars and girls [hope my wife didn't hear that <gg>],but seriously I don't know the answer it was many moons ago and I was barely out of my teens, hardly the time when one has any serious philosophical or ideological convictions, all I know was I wanted to come to the U.S and that was it and it didn't really matter even though my parents vehemently objected to the idea. Where is anybody's future in India? I would think in the hands of the youth like in all the other countries,no???As an aside... it is your duty to help India. To get the idea across, in my opinion, that there is accountability: that there is a future for India, a great and brilliant future because of the innate talents of the Indian people: that this future is simply a matter of political scale. Thank you Worswick, a lot of us are trying to do our bit and your concerns, comments and suggestions are indeed welcome and thanks for taking the time and effort, much obliged indeed. Ps: Say do you know a good link to a source from where I can get some information on Ancient European history say from 7000 B.C to 1500 B.C (and oh what is a C.E ?).Thanks.
