Bill: I agree that it could be received as suspect, but this is clearly the best time to clear the decks of past mistakes, and if IOM is going to be a 10 Billion dollar company, it MUST regain credibility with the investing public. And people who view yesterday's CEO change as simply a "difference in philosophy" are being silly and kidding themselves as they retreat into denial over their near term poor investment. I mean analogizing IOM's replacing Kim Edwards to Intel's replacing Andy Grove is ludicrous. This is a company in crisis that still has a chance to retain its newly minted brand name and move forward. Accordingly, I would get all of the bad news out front---take my beating for the next year to eighteen months, and move forward.
