You are in error. Some years ago I traveled to Tibet and had the privilege to see with my own eyes some of the revered handwritten texts -- some going back almost 3,000 years -- chronicling part of the travels of the man known in the Middle East as "Jesus of Nazareth". They include the time he spent in India, and a fascinating episode where he was the cause of a massive riot. The writings further detail the time he spent with the Lamas at several monasteries in Tibet before his lengthy travels back to the Middle East.

According to the monks in Tibet, Jesus was an important mystic and spiritual teacher, but he was no god -- nor the son of god. That was mostly revisionist history propagated by his followers who in the long run had much to gain politically if they could withstand the bloody pogroms. Indeed their politics dominated Europe for the better part of 1200 years, disrupted mainly by the Muslim Empire of Sulemain the Magnificent from his kingdom out of what is now called Istanbul.

Jaundiced Jane:

Have you ever considered that EVIL spelled backwards is LIVE? And this is the essence of mysticism: to condemn living -- LIFE -- as evil, and only the "next" plane of existence, the so-called spiritual plane (or heaven, nirvana, valhalla -- call it what you will), is worthwhile and good.

Mystics are some of the most despicable creatures on this planet.
