Hi David, Help!! My head is spinning round and round just like the information we get! It'll be 3 years on the roller-coaster for me in June. Some of the thoughts that come to my mind when I read some of the comments are these:

We had an update on the reserve last summer, some holes in the fall and a few more just recently. Somewhere along the way we were told that the Zaunschwerb report was not valid, and then we were told that this is not a gold deposit, but primarily a silver deposit with some gold credits. We were also told on several occasions that Barrick would be doing step-out drilling the next time and then told no, they had done in-fill drilling instead. Then we heard this drill program would be 10,000 to 15,000 meters of step out drilling, and then it was 7,000 meters. Then came the news that it was in-fill drilling on the extension?? hole which I presume was good ol' #109 waaay back when. Now it is delayed because the drills are needed elsewhere, but they'll be back in May, they say. I ask myself why they would come back if it doesn't meet their criteria? The only answer I can come up with is that there must be a lot of results that we don't know about, or Barrick has suddenly become a charitable organization. Why else would they continue to spend more money on a property that they can only recoup 10,000 U.S. dollars on? They are into the property for at least $12 million or so by now, so it just wouldn't make sense. Will we see a "re-discovery" of a gold deposit with great silver credits or?????

Amidst all this we've heard rumours that Barrick will walk, and then management denying the rumours. Then we have management talking frequently about the various scenarios should Barrick walk. I thought they denied the rumours. We were told that PFG is an exploration company and that they had no interest in mining, only exploring. Now, I believe the scenario includes three possibilities, one of developing it themselves, the other to take on another partner or selling to another major???? Explanations re difference between DD and R.C forthcoming at some magic date in the future?? Drilling at a snail's pace and results slower than a three-toed sloth. Management off to Toronto, Squaw Valley, Miami on a promotional? tour, and results of this effort are that the stock price falls. Way to go!

The latest is that if Barrick walks, and the agreement( which was negotiated by old managment) calls for PFG to pay Barrick $10,000 U.S. to buy back the 70 % interest, they would rather do an equity deal with Barrick and preserve the money in the kitty. Puhleeeeeze! We are talking 10,000 dollars, not 10 million. Hell, they could go through $10,000 on a week's tour to Squaw Valley. Why concern one's self with such petty amounts?

I frankly don't think Barrick is going to sit around and play games until 2000. Not their style! I think the decisions will be made, and the results of that decision will be known some time early this summer.

This excerpt from Barrick's homepage about Arequipa shows you how fast they can drill when they want to:

"Pierina has already shown itself to be a very exciting mine project. Upon acquisition in August, 70 holes had been drilled on the property. By year end,>just four months later<, the Company had drilled another 201 holes, brought an initial 6.5 million ounces of gold into reserves and identified a further 764,000 ounces of gold mineralized material."

Look what can be done when the spirit is there. My, what wonders do exist! You have to ask yourself why the speed was not employed here? How much do we not know? Who knew what, and when did they know it? I believe that question was posed in the Watergate scandal, and it seems appropriate here. Is there something that we can discern from all of this confusion??

David, I'm not only too weak, but too dizzy to get off the merry-go-round. It reminds me of a who-dun-it book, you won't be satisfied until you know who-dun-it? Or should that be who-dude-it?

Cheers

Shirley

I am new to this. I don't know what expectations the company has laid out for the shareholders or what person on this thread has laid out or if everybody thinks that CSM is able to pull off another AQP. From a brief read through the thread expectations are very high for this stock to get back to $6-7 area. The facts from the property don't support that view especially if Barrick does exercise its option to acquire 70% of the propertty. It is unlikely that they will take all the PFG shareholders out just to get the other 30%. They control the propery and that's what they want. My thought is that everybody here should re-examine their expectations. PFG Is is a minority shareholder and that is unlikely to cause the stock to go to a premium.
