Just a quick note:

I was in CompUSA, Best Buy, and Circuit City yesterday and looked at some of the K6 desktops and notebooks. I concur with the observation made earlier that the Compaq notebook with the K6 233 is a nice machine except for the crappy screen. Selling it with a better display would really differentiate it from the Pentium machines. Also, I did not see any Tillamook machines.

In CompUSA, the specs on the IBM Desktops included the description: "IBM K6 233 mhz processor." This on the pre-printed spec card in front of the machine. And CompUSA advertises the machines in their newspaper flyer with the AMD logo........curious.
