Thanks Ian, Seymour Cray was indeed at Control Data. He left when the management could not foresee any potential commercial use for his super-computer. Later, they tried to build their own. I wonder why they went out of business? Also he was killed in an auto accident, but by that time there was too much competition in the field and, IMO, he was too head-strong with old ideas of chip materials.

The moral I was trying to make is that my limitations preclude visualizing new killer apps. Thank god there are more imaginative people than I or the Control Data geniuses.
