I do not think we did, but I am not 100% positive. If we did, we did not win it, I would have heard.

The license they have from an earlier purchase to use in the Autobahn technology is national, right?
DAVID
Lets be careful here---
The licenses for the spectrum that we purchased are not national, though it does cover A LOT of the country. And that spectrum is to SUPPLEMENT the Autobahn spectrum. In areas where we do not have licenses for the spectrum, Autobahn will still work fine. Autobhan functionality is NOT dependent on the additional licensed spectrum. We were able to pick it up cheap, and we are going to use it where we can, but we will be fine in the areas where we cannot use it.

The exciting thing about Metricom is that once they have the radios on the poles, they can go out and replace them with a higher performance network pretty easily.
DAVID
Though this is a big job, it is also very easy to swap out a radio. ( it takes less than 5 min or so)

Competitors who don't launch satellites will have to go thur a lot of regulatory hurdles to get their infrastructure in place.

DAVID
BINGO!
