Hi! This discussion between Mark and DCF is fabulous. A testament to the Ask God thread. I have busy for a few days and fell behind the ever growing number of posts, but I tried to read all of this sub-thread.
DCF, I read Rev 12:7. I think we have linked three distinct stories: the initial fall of Satan, the Lucifer story, and the (IMHO) extremely allegorical story in Revelation. Although I would argue that they are separate and distinct "events", I think they all characterize one theme: the downfall because of hubris. Satan is too proud (or loved God too much?) to bow down to man; The (Babylonian?) king was insolent enough to place himself above God; and, the allegory of such (OK... not so distinct...).
Henry, thanks for the note about html.

Greg

MARK, THANKS FOR REPLY,

First of all how do you put my text in your reply? drag and drop or what?

Yes , I understand what you are saying about rights. If I am sincere in my belief, then I believe that I give up my right to make my own course, and I follow the course planned long ago for me.This in no way takes away any free choice, Simply put; it makes my decisions easier for me.If God, through His Son,says to "love your enimies and pray for those who persecute you"<<Matt.5:44>> then He certainly has made it easier for me to do so, because I should want to please my King, right? If I decide for myself that I don't have to love my enemies, then I choose to NOT follow my King, right?

The question about God is not a trick question, as I said ,I was honestly asking. And yes you are correct in saying that there is one God.(and I do not mean that to sound like the answer to a pop quiz ok??) haha
Since you do not ask about the only true and living God, but you do believe, as you said that all MAJOR religions are boiled down to the same God, what seperates MAJOR from MINOR. Are we discriminating about the god of ..... whomever is in the minority? What do you think about the Trinity of the Godhead?

Sorry to take so long to get back to you, been kind of in and out.
