s. bateh and all, This group is getting pathetic. I have kept
my mouth shut the last two days, except to defend Sheila from
foul Jockitch. Whether goes IOMEGA? Good companies don't die
overnight, with or without a CEO resignation. KE was obviously
a dynamic force and took a small cap company to mid-cap status,
launched good products that worked, and gathered tremendous
market share. His orientation was towards appealing to the user
as a consumer, hence the recent emphasis on brand winning ads.
But this approach didn't sit well with the analysts at the last
CC, their bias, perhaps based on good sense, was to follow the
standard Intel model, drive out competition by lowering prices
and expanding volume. He goofed, not terribly, but at a bad
time. With the stock taking a second tanking in as many years,
IOM was put in jeopardy. But its all perception and hype,
the product base has expanded, sales are still strong, there may
be some question if Zip drive sales are slowing, we don't know,
and in any case, its a hell of a company. So we move on to a new
type of manager. The damn thing could really take off, or it
could run slow again for some time. In any case there is just
not much downside. Clik will prove stronger than anyone can
imagine. It is a perfect product size and capacity to really replace
floppy drives and disks, something smaller, more capacity and
eventually cheaper, and a way to connect all sorts of devices.
An absolutely brilliant product!! Hard to design perhaps, but
eventually less costly to manufacture than even today's floppy
drives which sell for about $25. We are going to need some patience
now, no point in chomping every day about the latest crap.
Just sit tight, hang on and wait. The patient will be rewarded.

And if you are so clever as to how you can double or triple
your funds in the next two years, take your money there.

Rock the Lump, its time for you to go. Nothing interesting here
for you any more. You have a problem to cover with AOL and probably
Yahoo as well. Go deal with that. Your funds in IOM aren't going
anywhere up or down any time soon. So go play with your toys,
or get a real day job. Nice knowing you, bye.

Regards, David S.
Long on Intel, Iomega and WorldCom

>>it reminds me when we were at 13 last summer i belive and climbed up to 33<<

There was far less despair at 13 last summer. Things looked much better then, I'd say.
