Did you know that Cisco ,despite its reputation as the premier networking vendor, could not create a reliable and relatively fast campus network for their own use :-) Seriously,I am talking about Cisco 's own net work, which their employees useveveryday. It goes down often and it 's slow. Garrick, I'm not sure where you get your information from but nothing could be further from the truth. YWhere are getting your information? You really shouldn't spread out and out lies like this. This is counter productive to having an above the board conversation. I find comments like this extremely distasteful. If you want to bash a company at least support your position with facts rather than reckless comments. I agree with some of the points you made about Cisco 's marketing clout and proven success. However, technology delivered is just as important (if not more so) as marketing . AT some point in time, when the customers become disenchanted with certain products due to its performance or reliability, good marketing alone is not going to cut it.This may happen with Cisco in the next year or so. I agree that marketing alone is not enough... I did not say that it was. If you go back and read my posts you'll see that I make mention of technology being important - at equal or even better footing than "the spin". So, please don't take my statements out of context. This also is weak. As with every vendor there are customers that are happy and those that are not. Cisco is no exception. I'm willing to be that NT, LU, NN, and even ASND have customers that aren't happy with the network performance or reliability. Making a blanket argument that Cisco's customers are going to go elsewhere because of these issues is your apparent baseless opinion. Do you have facts...like a research study showing how Cisco's customers are unhappy. Because I can tell you that you couldn't be further from the truth. Cisco employee's are measured on customer satisfaction and their bonuses are tied closely to this metric. Gary
