Some mention of coms from MS Investors :

BEDFORD: The stock sector that we think is the most attractive right
now is technology. A group I particularly like is the computer
networking stocks, such as 3Com Corp. (COMS).
I think that those
stocks are extremely attractive. Also some of the software stocks. If
you're looking for a big-cap stock, the winner out of this Year 2000
thing might actually be IBM (IBM). It's down around $101, and I'd
really rather buy closer to $95, but long-term, the stock's probably
going to somewhere in the $130 to $150 range, possibly before the
end of the year. And BMC Software (BMCS). Those are the stocks
that we've been buying.
