Bro. Bob Brain:

It is indeed an honor to be addressed on this forum by family of the Brain. I must say the past couple of weeks my life has been spinning counter clockwise. In fact, the day of your post, I suffered a close lightning strike that blasted my modem. The modem I replaced it with was defective out of the box and the next one allowed me on AOL, but not the net. In the meantime, for most of the last week-and-a-half AOL has allowed me on-line but only five minutes at a time. Though lightning in Northern Wisconsin before April is somewhat rare, it does happen and a good crack it isn1t impossible, yet I1ve never seen the power go out this early in the year because of it. And just my residence and nowhere else.

I1ve never heard of Klein, but my mother, God rest her soul, was a big fan of Carlin, so it1s reasonable to assume that my sense of humor is a matter of heredity and that there is nothing that can be done about it. One1s soul is not something that can be examined empirically, calibrated, or quantified scientifically. But nonetheless it is the measure of who we are as human beings. There are few windows into it. However, a couple of them are one1s sense of humor and the generous dispersal of one1s talents for the service of others. In these your sister1s soul shined right through the monitor.
I wish I would have told her so directly when I still had the opportunity, though I believe I did say it in so many words.

To my recollection the now legendary planned pilgrimage to Vancouver should Zappa hit $2.00 a share actually began with a $5.00 objective in mind. It only goes to show how desperate we were becoming in the last months. Bo was going to make a statue of our company president in commemoration of the occasion. Since I was an art major during my university days before I settled for English, the lot necessarily falls to me to personally fulfill her commision.

I have a friend of mine who owns some Zappa and runs a dairy some miles south of here. I used to drive down once a week and give him Brain updates while he fed the cows. He got a good laugh when I told him about Brain1s Christmas song. He called me at the hospital once and I even gave him a Brain update from there. I got a kick out of her lyrics posted on one of the Bre-X threads too. Look forward to the next installment.

One thing I always meant to tell Bo that I think would have amused her was that I was the one who faxed in the idea for that 3Clintons, meet the Clintons...from the town of Little Rock...ý etc. spoof of the Flintstones song to the Rush Limbaugh show from the Bank of Edgar. Five months later, Rush began playing a version of it on his show.

Your post meant a lot to me. I can1t begin to tell you how much encouragement and cheer your sister extended my way. To think that out of 4 billion people in the world and just a small window of opportunity, I had the privilege of becoming her friend. I will treasure the card she sent me at the hospital and I look forward to meeting her again in a better world. In the meantime, see ya in Vancouver at $2. :O --Al

If I am interpreting your work correctly, it appears that
we need a breakout in silver above $6.60 before seeing the
next leg up in gold.
