10:49 Napro Patent/Payment -2: Payment Part Of March 20 Pact >NPRO

BOULDER, Colo. (Dow Jones)--Napro Biotherapeutics Inc. (NPRO) received a patent that encompasses methods of stabilizing paclitaxel in Cremophor El and ethanol, as well as claims directed to stable formulations.
In a press release Tuesday, Napro said the issuance of the patent also resulted in a $3.75 million payment from Ivax Corp. (IVX) as part of the companies' March 20 termination agreement.
As reported March 23, the companies terminated their paclitaxel development and marketing agreement so they separately can pursue paclitaxel registration worldwide.
Under the terms of the termination, Ivax will pay a total of $8.1 million and may pay up to an additional $6.4 million contingent upon the issuance of patents in certain jurisdictions.
Napro develops, makes and licenses natural-product drugs.

I'm a little sad, but I sold this gussied up dog today at $9 13/16.
Good luck to you and everyone else on this thread. Randy, you've been charming and most helpful. Of course I might be enticed again to buy at $6.5 area, but not likely to see that again. You can find me on the NPRO thread though because I see higher returns there.
